GBA is an educational non-profit association (Art. 60-79 ZGB - Verein). An independent legal entity, the Association is registered in Zurich, Switzerland.
Vision
The Green Bridge Association (GBA) promotes new knowledge that is driven by collegiality and curiosity. A single perspective has emerged from the environmental, climate, political and public health crises that we have experienced these past years: we must quickly move away from an extractive civilization. GBA provides a platform for the transition to a regenerative civilization. We offer tools and solutions to local communities as well as to experts, academics, business leaders, and state officials who understand the significance of acting now.
Objective
By connecting local initiatives to regional, national, and global issues, GBA facilitates the emergence of Living Labs and other communities of transformative practices. We do that by encouraging exchanges between unlikely partners and by learning from each other. We combine in our teaching and research the resources of scientists, artists, officials, and community leaders. We collaborate with established actors who foster new methods and paradigms in knowledge production.
Strategy
GBA has designed innovative training and research methods that deliver transformative change at different scales, from daily practices to regional and global governance. We support mutual learning processes for sustainability that connect top-down strategies with bottom-up actions. Our approach to knowledge production includes the entrepreneurs and agents of change who have been historically excluded from research.
