OUR RESEARCH LAB

Our main project is conducted with the Ecosystem Restoration Communities, which is a foundation in Amsterdam that supervises 80 projects in 39 countries:

A GLOBAL ISSUE WITH A SOLUTION

We believe that investing in entrepreneurship can quickly improve the resilience and well-being of our communities. Entrepreneurship is key to the Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8) on inclusive growth and decent work, and is directly related to UN SDG 3, 4, and 17 on common health, quality education, and international collaborations. Although these objectives lie at the heart of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations, entrepreneurs have rarely been offered the training opportunities they would find relevant. The "Democratizing Innovation for Sustainable Development" (or DISD) course will unleash innovation by opening access to training on social entrepreneurship in critical areas. DISD graduates will reshape the global innovation ecosystem, generate inclusive prosperity, and design policies that invest in scalable innovations and address sustainability challenges. They will continue their entrepreneurial work through continued access to our online innovation ecosystem. An incubator/accelerator process will support their most promising ideas.

OUR ACTION PROGRAM

To succeed as agents of change, DISD graduates must combine global know-how and local roles. The workshops of Innosuisse and the highly ranked MBA in sustainability at Bard College, New York, have been our sources of inspiration. Our academic programs deliver the methods, standards, and tools that entrepreneurs need to build social enterprises. Our instructors and mentors bring together:

  • The reach of synchronous on-line education via a powerful technology platform.
  • The high-touch, small-class, and in-person instruction needed to promote and implement innovation.
  • A train-the-trainer model that expands entrepreneurship at colleges, universities, and NGOs.

OUR TEAM AND PARTNERS

Our Campus is led by two senior academics from CCRS:

Our network includes the Ecosystem Restoration Communities, BML Munjal University, Swissnex India, and SAGUF at the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences. Agreements have been signed with ERC and with HNUST.
